About the Vintage Association of Motion Picture Blogs
The Vintage Association of Motion Picture Blogs (or VAMP) was found to support and blogs devoted in a large part to motion pictures made before 1980. The word vintage was chosen rather than the word classic as the word classic implies a level of greatness that not every film made before 1980 might possess. The year 1980 was simply chosen as an arbitrary cutoff point, with the thought that a film must be of a certain age before it can be considered a vintage film.
